In my last position as a hardware store supervisor/manager I was responsible for managing up to 45 associates at a time including writing daily worklists, training and assoicate schedules. I was also responsible for writing and giving associate reviews bi-annually. I was able to read, understand and account for the weekly, monthly & yearly sales reports including the P&L. I am knowledable with almost all of the special order programs at the store including Contractor Sales, Millwork & Flooring. I am also very efficient at cashiering, returns, rtv's & receiving departments as they are all Operation Depts that I managed. I ran the Contractor Sales Desk for many years and gained and maintained many of the Districts Top Sales Accounts. I trained the districts assistant managers and supervisors for the Contractor Sales Desk. I was also in charge of Sales departments where responsibilites included being on par with the departments merchandising set up, signage and POP. I would be required to set weekly ad's for the store and ensure that everything was set up according to planogram. I was trained on the vault system, including daily balances and disputes. I deal with customer situations in a calm and professional manner and communicate with associates the same way. I was also responsible for both opening and closing the store as well as doing inventory for the store departments once a year. |
