Job Details:
Designation JAVA Developer
Job Description Performs development and testing work in all phases of developing Verizon network management systems, including software design, development, requirement gathering, documentation, function and various testing. 5+ years of IT experience with extensive experience in Core Java and J2EE; Proficient in relational databases, preferably Oracle. In depth knowledge of SQL is required; Experience with Unix is required.
Experience with Linux is a plus ; Proficient in XML structures and parsers (DOM & SAX ); Experience in server-side programming is required. Previous experience in programming to handle large volume of transactions is required ; Experience working with Weblogic or Tomcat is required ; Experience working with JBoss and Eclipse is desirable Experience with version control tools is required, preferably CVS Must be a good team player; Detailed oriented, resourceful, motivated and creative; Flexible, organized and able to handle competing priorities; Strong verbal and written communication skills; Work collaboratively and cross-functionally as part of a team as well as an independently; Bachelor's Degree is required, preferably a Master's Degree in Computer Science and Engineering. Laptop required.
