| Job Description | Sierra Club Green Home is looking for a part time PHP developer to
join its team. SCGH is seeking a PHP Developer that has a good
understanding of object orientated programming with strong MySQL
skills and can work on various tasks with limited supervision. Must be
local to Los Angeles.
Duties & Responsibilities − Design, develop, test, and debug web applications in a LAMP environment. − Optimize and maintain various existing internal and external websites. − Integrate new solutions into existing platforms using either custom code. − Maintain and ensure availability of various server systems Job Requirements − B.S. in computer science or software engineering or equivalent experience. − Minimum 2 years experience with PHP or other object orientated programming language. − Minimum 2 years experience with MySQL. − Expert knowledge of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript. − Experience with Jquery is a plus. − Experience with Wordpress, and integration of Wordpress into custom web applications. − Experience with RHEL/CentOS. − Ability to translate business requirements into system designs. − Ability to solve complex, multi-dimensional problems. − Have excellent troubleshooting and analysis skills. − Must be a self starter, and can thrive under tight deadlines. − Experience with SEO/SEM is a plus. − Experience with GIT is a plus.
